yixing teapot help

    Hi folks

    found this today, quite hard to guesstimate an age for it, im thinking a bit of age but 20th century

    theres a partial mark on the base, that doesn't seem to bring up anything

    its been used, but that doesn't really mean much, smells old, so its not yesterday

    7 inches across by 4

    small bit a damage to the lid

    any info or thoughts appreciated

    Very cute, love the shape of the lid and the little monkey/beastie finial. Given the small size it is probably a brewing pot.

    awesome thanks Aj, its quite crudely made compared to other ones i've found before, so don't know its thats an indication of age or not

    think the mark was always like that and not wear
