Featured large Warhol museum poster

something else i found while going through stuff

large 39 x 24 on thick quality card like paper

somebody had folded the bottom info part to fit into a frame

think i paid a fiver for it at local auction, and had to dispose of the frame at the auction house so i could get it on the bus rolled

haven't been able to find one alike

are these things considered collectable at all ?

its not that they can't talk, they've been sworn into secrecy, and seen too much

 

a nice museum poster...... the fold hurts any value other that for decoration..

yeah think thats the one thing in its favour, these seem to sell ok looking on ebay solds, and i can sort of see why

 

Did you see one that sold for the Guggenheim Hermitage? I didn't. A museum branch for punters. (The entire exhibition only had 30 works.) I'm not sure who the customer would be.

not sure that really matters, would make it more rare i guess. the customer would be anyone interested in andy warhol

if you look on the linked one, they both have the visual arts small print and soloman detail

 

both are from the andy warhol estate and foundation for the visual arts

 

looks like a pretty cool looking museum in new york

 

so must be a link between the 2 i guess

2 very different looking buildings for sure, but i don't really get your point deb, if its the same organisation that produced the posters, and both to do with the same artist.

is there a hierarchy when it comes to art exhibition posters ?
