My grandmother gave me an old broken necklace. I've stared at these beads a long time. Hours. They are beautiful and I swear I see bugs, bubbles and leaves. But I'm starting to go crazy from staring too long Pretty please tell me what you see Thankyou kindly everyone ️
Hi Deborah, Sure. Just need to take a picture. The ones saved on my phone are too large to upload. They are very pretty beads/chips. I was looking into the restringing and trying to do it myself but if it's quality amber I'd get a pro to work their magic and give it back to my grandmother in a beautiful box
@Abbie, just go back and change those from Thumbnail to Full Image. That will make them easier for everyone to see. And what did your grandmother tell you about the necklace? Debora
Thanku will do She didn't say much. She said it's amber and needs restringing. She pulled them out of her magic room that's full of everything
And it didn't have a clasp with it so I'm just wondering about the amber itself. The more I look up and read, the less sure I am
It's called with inclusions when Amber has insects inside. I have a couple of pieces. 40 million years old.
That is exactly what it is. It used to be an amber chip necklace, now waiting to be restrung. The colour is called cognac or honey colour. Amber chip necklaces are lovely, but they are towards the lower end of the amber market.
