OK. It's different cover, meaning it's a later printing. There should be publication data before the main title. The point is: there's nothing 19th century about this book as an artifact, nor about the poem written on the flyleaf. The Penguin Poets series was not introduced until 1940 (with a volume of Tennyson). I think the date on that poem might be 98.
I absolutely agree with you. I never said it was anything else. The book itself was not Lloyd's point. He wanted to know about the poem inscribed inside, written by someone else unknown.
I've edit my previous post. Somehow the second part of the sentence got lost in some other dimension. It's probably chumming up with a bunch of lost socks.
