Vintage brass pendant.

What do I have here? Looks like mythical beasts maybe? Half human, half beast type beasts? Greek? Egyptian? The hand signed aspect is kind of interesting. I bought a giant pile of costume over the weekend and this was in it. So far it’s been 1920’s or so to 1980’s or so. So far have pulled three sterling bangles, one sterling necklace, one 14k earring backer, and a few GF pieces out so that always a bonus. A handful of things sellable on their own or in small lots on the costume side. I’m about 1/3 of the way through searching it. For some reason searching huge batches of jewelry is one of my favorite things ever to do. At most I wear a single ring or a single chain but I do love looking through piles of it. I guess it’s like going out to hunt at auctions and estate sales but you get to do it on the couch whenever you want.

The archaeological site of the ancient town of Mycenae is near present-day Mykines on the Peloponnese peninsula of mainland Greece.
Mykines is the Modern Greek version of Mycenae, but Mycenae is still used for the ancient town.

Mykonos is a small Greek island in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea.

The Lion Gate is in Mycenae, near Mykines, mainland Greece.
The inscription on the back says Μyκῆναι, which is one of the ways to write Mycenae in Greek.
