Fab looking dutch delft vase but damaged

Hi all.
Came across this large vase today and was only able to examine it through the window as the shop was closed.

It is damaged and glued as you should be able to see in the picture.
It is about 2 feet in height.
Dont know what asking price is on this vase but am wondering how much would damage effect price of a vase ?

Damage almost always affects the price of ceramics, often significantly. With Dutch pottery, the other things that affect the price are the maker and the age.

Fortunately, Dutch pottery is usually well marked and has been for a very long time. Probably the best thing to do is check the bottom for marks and then look for recent sales prices.

I don't think it tends to be as collected as a few years ago but I haven't really tracked prices for awhile. You might try looking onion vases.

These are two Makkum large vases I have in polychrome for comparison.

 

Although the vase looks Dutch, I am not entirely sure it was born in the Netherlands. And damage is damage.

And oddly, pottery painted with birds tends to do better than just flower pieces.

Your Makkum onion vases are gorgeous.

Thanks Any jewelry.Yea i dont know enough about the subject to say if it as you say born in the Netherlands or not.
Was never in the shop before and not sure where they source their stock.

I’m with aj, that doesn’t look Dutch to me. I think it’s Chinese.
