Featured Hi all —-have a man’s ring that I need help with what the stone is.

It’s familiar to me, but just not popping into my head!! Images below, and there’s a mark on the inside that says PBK14K, and it appears to be white gold…..thank you for any help!!! Images below….. L a

 

Bloodstone?

 

I thought bloodstone too but the texture seems off...? Sometimes it's hard to get an accurate color in photos with a yellow/orange background. Is it a greenish stone or...?

It is definitely Black with the red in it……and BOTH thoughts look like it could be either!!! Guess he’ll be taking it to a jeweler too!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

 

My first guess would be mahogany obsidian. It's unusual to find it in gold, but it's a gent's ring and he liked what he liked.

 

If he gets a jeweler's opinion, update this thread, please!

 

I absolutely WILL, @Figtree3 - he (family friend) said he plans on doing just that, but might take him a while.....I'll 'bug' him a bit!!!

 

UPDATE!!! ON friend's ring.......he went to one jeweler so far, and they said they thought "bloodstone".......and I couldn't find anyplace that compared with the "mahogany obsidian"......suggested he try another for comparison.......???? Best I've got so far.............!
