Should I at least finish shooting the can with flat black?

If it's already halfway done might as well finish the paint. I'd have left bad enough alone, myself. Let the buyer decide what they want to do.

Thank you - that makes sense as I imagine glass would shatter.
I was unsure as I had tried rubbing the brooch on the back of a tile (unglazed) but it didn't leave a mark as I would have expected with jet.

Some things I've had kicking around. The round Mexican piece has foiled dragon's breath at the center. The deer is old hard plastic, post-WWII but not by much. The souvenir bracelet has French symbols on it, but any marks were on the long-gone clasp. The glass is glass. The little cross is stone, and mined that way. The M is Maplewood Junior High - wouldn't mean much to y'all, but my dad went there. The Hockey thing is a medal from Britain awarded to a (field) hockey team in the military in 1922. Gloucestershire according to Davey; it has the awardee's name and service number on the back. Probably not a high value item monetarily, but definitely a rarity.

I can only clearly see two of the "French symbols" but... They both appear to be emblems of Queen Claude of France.

The stone is staurolite also known as fairy cross or fairy stone.

We found a lot of the stones in Virginia years ago, my sons gave most of them to their friends..... https://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/fairystones

The crowned salamader was the emblem of Francis I - still all over everything in southwestern France. Or was, anyway, back when.

That's the name I was trying to remember. Not worth a pile, but fun.

Made use of the rest saving this punkin from falling off. The rest of it was uninteresting and poor condition. The opposite end had same design but had been painted over.

There are plenty of these for sale on eBay. Google "Bulova 8 carriage clock". Looking quickly, I haven't seen an age given. I haven't come across an original advertisement.

I see them on Ebay, but I am more interested in the original information for the clock. The more detailed the better.
