Do you know if the police check the ballistics Davy, to if it’s been used in a crime? I think you should get a GoodCitizens monetary reward for handing it in. Wonder if the truncheon is a Fisherman’s Priest.

They all go for analysis, thats why I was careful not to leave my dabs on it, I made it safe then put in a plastic bag before surrendering it.

I think the stick is military or police but from another country.
I have several others from Rhodesia, Hong Kong and the Middle East

A priest (also called a poacher's priest, game warden's priest, angler's priest, fish bat or persuader) is a tool for killing game or fish. The name "priest" comes from the notion of administering the "last rites" to the fish or game. Anglers often use priests to quickly kill fish.

sometimes called a Whack Bonk !!!:hilarious:

Wish me luck tomorrow! I'm going on a house call, the owner said she has 25 moving boxes of Depression Glass plus a box of jewelry from her mother and grandmother. It's been in a storage unit for 5 years and she says it's time it's gone!

I'll either be spending a lot of time photographing goodies to show you all or I shuffle home with a big pout on my face :zombie:

Komo, It’s a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 5 years if caught in the U.K. in possession of unlicensed firearm. Most handguns are banned now after Dunblane shootings.

Amen. I think they require licences for all guns where I live.

I'd say for making it dinner, but the same thing. It goes back before RPGs; kids-these-days would understand the name because RPG clergy aren't allowed edged weapons.

Here's hoping for the former! May it all be royal blue or bright green glass! The blue still goes for $$$ . With my luck it would all be that yellow-pink nobody wants.
Here's hoping the jewelry box is an orange crate!

Not a find exactly although I have just re-found them! Bought these last year and packed them away then today I rummaged in a storage box looking for something else and there they were. I had forgotten how lovely they were so just wanted to show them off! 20240719_160412.jpg 20240719_155408.jpg 20240719_155453.jpg 20240719_155630.jpg 20240719_155918.jpg 20240719_155647.jpg 20240719_155805.jpg 20240719_155659.jpg

I had an errand to run north of me, so I hit some antique malls (found a new one) and a thrift. One store had a huge pile of jewelry for $1....will post those finds on the jewelry board, and the better pieces here. But for now, everything in the thrift was 50% off. Got some lovely vintage photos/postcards for $1.50 each. The 1925 class picture was $5.
