Anyone ever see a nineteen inch long pencil? That includes the three inch glass(?) window that has a metal locomotive in it that moves freely in the cylinder. I cannot find a thing about it anywhere.

Souvenir pencil from somewhere. They did pens too.

This long? I have, and have seen many a jumbo pencil [both 'regular' and mechanical] and they're all about eleven inches.

The pens aren't, but the pencils haven't been far off.

Would/could you post a close up of the engine?

The one in the pencil is a coal-fired engine if that helps. Jupiter was wood-fired. The smokestack goes straight up and down, and that means coal. Looks like a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement. I think that means passenger engine, or just an older design. I'd sincerely doubt it's meant to be any one in particular.

I'm not, but my dad was. Things rubbed off. He literally taught himself to read at about age 3/4 by reading boxcars. Instead of growing out of it, he got worse!
