    Sweet vase, but not Gallé.
There is a Romanian company that makes Gallé style vases. Maybe it is by them, although their quality is generally a bit better.

I would like to ask you what you think about the signature. and what are the years of reproductions?

Well then good for you. They must be sure,if they are willing to say that without an inspection. I wasn’t sure about the quality (but what donI know!!)

Are you selling it to them?

Reproduction to my eye. Anytime the G in Galle' looks like a Y..... Saw similar offered for sale in the early 90s.

Yes, with names like Galle, Lalique and perhaps Daum Nancy, there are imitations, reproductions and out and out fakes. So, for authentication, I would rely on a good dealer, auction house or even a university department. However, before that, I would probably peruse Google and ebay, etc. for research into reproductions.

Totally Confused now :dead: maybe it is good quality reproduction or bad authentic product.

the guide says it's good.....the Antiques store says it's good.... and Komo says it's good.....
I'd go with that until some expert says ...it's not !

Reproductions became very common from the 70s forward. The Romanian versions will also say “tip” (“type”) somewhere on the piece. They were good quality versions, but not at the same level of execution as the originals.

Yours seems like a reproduction. The decorative detail is not as subtle and nuanced as one would expect from an original, the neck contour seems “wobbly,” and the top edge seems sharper rather than rounded as one finds in the genuine article. Also keep in mind that dealers can be fooled like the rest of us.

Nevertheless, if you didn’t pay too much for this it’s a nice and perfectly serviceable cameo vase. Fakes are now just as common as originals or more so.
We all hope for a bargain, but what usually happens is you get what you pay for (if you’re lucky) and Galle vases are pricey.
