    Hi,
I just saw the KJ on the last pic when loading it here. Wondering if anyone know what this is. I swear the other mark is a bird on a branch.
    Thank you for any help

I'm swearing the same thing :) To me it looks like a falcon on a branch.

Similar brooches can be found with Google Lens. So far I only found descriptions with mahreb, berber or Northern Africa, and no info re hallmark or maker

Yes, it is, it is a vulture on a branch.;) A Moroccan import mark, introduced in 1925. It could have been made in a neighbouring country, Algeria or Tunisia.

Could it be this Moroccan mark?

Mahreb and North Africa are both correct (and both refer to roughly the same region). Not Berber style, but Moorish style, so a mix of Berber and Arabic.

Thank you! The ones I found online said French and I wasn’t sure that was right
