IMG_5005.jpeg IMG_5004.jpeg IMG_5003.jpeg Seeking help narrowing down age & value of Hummel figurine.

I have a 58/0 ‘Playmates’ Hummel with TMK1 incised crown mark and ‘made in US zone’ oval marking, but I am unable to find any other photos of figures with this marking combo.

I’m guessing this is pre 1949 as it does not say West Germany, but US Zone. But am unsure.

The other 58/0 figures I have seen online include a feather in the hat, but this one does not. Paint on that area looks original, but I cannot verify.

I’m also puzzled by an H 4/8 red painted mark.

Any help dating and appraising this figurine would be greatly appreciated! Thank You :)

Looking closely at the area behind the hat’s flower (even under a loupe) that section is painted and appears to match the color and finish of the rest of the hat.

It can be seen when zooming in on the back photo.

I’m curious if there’s any possibility of the missing feather being a different production run or maybe even a factory defect?

The main TMK1 mark is identifiable, but I’m having trouble finding other instances of the ‘US Zone’ mark with an oval around it.

As for the lack of the feather, in a ruined economy, a manufacturing defect like that is acceptable. ;)

I don't see anything that indicates there ever was a feather. Just a sweet child's hat with flowers, imo.

I would think that would make it earlier than later then because other examples on internet have feather.

I must say... I'm not a Hummel fan but this one is charmingly executed. A more muted palette than the other examples I can find.
