Featured Etched ruby glass vase

    Found this today. I am thinking it is bohemian. It has a pontil mark on the base and stands at about 25cm tall.

    I see you have the same taste in pubs as me then.

    I've seen some really beautiful ones online and starting to think that mines inferior.

    yeah i saw a few also that were a bit more decorated

    but like the fact yours doesn't have the bordering, its more open and less tacky looking imho

    The ones I mentioned are cut to clear around the base and look like the dogs thingies

    The white is throwing me off. Is it in the glass or fired on?

    The surface is rough (etched I think) so it diffuses the light

    The rough surface, not acid washed, doesn't look sand blasted. Air bubbles. Hum. Seems like a lot of work for a simple design. You're probably right about Bohemian. I'd say turn of the centuryish. May not be top shelf, but it really is quite beautiful.
