    Fortuny pleats. Of course. Wife did the work; husband got the credit. (Typical.) Tina Chow who re-popularized the Delphos Gown in the 1980s.

    My Mom purchased a black one for a black & white ball in '80s, can't really see it in the pic below, but she wore it again in '95 when we attended the same event. We both tended toward simple, classic attire, but I was feeling froggy and wore a sequined motorcycle jacket over a lace camisole, silky black pants and heeled boots - of course these days I'm usually in jeans...
