Charity Shop buys, paid a tenner for both. Thought the church scene was charming despite the gravestones and I liked the frame. One of the grave markers looks like a trussed up package.
The signed etching is by Paul Grilade (ID provided by INH).

I think that grave marker is a corpse that hasn't gotten planted yet.((oops!))

I grew up on a street with a huge cemetery. Spent hours walking around and riding my bike around it. The old gravestones fascinated me.

I remember decades ago seeing lots of white marble or green stone chippings spread on the graves in our town graveyard. A young neighbour has recently put down a load of white stone chips in his front garden and I just think back to those graves. And it looks a bit like snow.

A lot of our grave plots were covered in green glass chips...we had a glass factory in town, my dad worked there for a bit.

Lumii_20240428_193802978.jpg Lumii_20240428_192156325.jpg Got up late, wasn't planning on going to my flea market, but got there 9:30. Few vendors, a big shark probably got some good stuff, but I found a few things. Speaking of sharks, a bag of Miocene sharks' teeth, $1. They are still very sharp.

I felt like I was at the dollar store. The cufflinks were $1 a set. Tiara $1. Each pair of earrings $1.

Some little things. Sterling and amber peacock missing a stone, $2. Amco 14k GF brooch/pendant $5. Kramer jade and cultured pearl clips, $4. Fish, part of a bulk buy that was $30. Lady really thought it was sterling, I knew it wasn't. Rings $1, snake thing (which I love and will post on the jewelry board), part of the bulk buy. Chrome diopside 925 inside outside hoops, part of the bulk buy.

The rest of the $30 bulk buy. The lady was still putting things out after 11 am. I asked her how much things were, she just said to make a pile. She had only costume out, but offered me to look through a box of sterling.

The best of the pile was this bracelet. Will post on jewelry board for a makers mark ID.

I love these pearls from another vendor. Goldwashed sterling findings, researching makers mark, $5.

The bracelet is Italian. I can see the punch marks, kinda sorta, from here and was 90% sure before I even looked. Nice pearl necklace for $5; you can't get close to even Chinese freshwaters sold for stringing for that.

There is this guy who sells any tiara for $1. Last fall, I bought 12 from him and sold the lot for $140. Not bad. They go during prom/wedding seasons.

    This weekend was pretty good!

I've been looking for some late 60s (real or passing) purses for a potential upcoming project. I know this one is probably from the 90s (?) but for you gals in the know, could it pass as 60s? Is it too far off model? I'd keep it for myself anyway lol. It has a crossbody strap mostly off-frame. $10

Thanks to looking at other people's pottery finds here, I recognized this as possibly one of those vintage collectable pottery types. Lots of this type are listed as McCoy. I thought they marked their pieces? But maybe not all?? Real or fake? And if real, what would be the date? $5

    mccoy vase sm.jpg

Vintage Syracuse Federal-style eagle mirror. I bought this one to keep but had real pleasure telling a disbelieving husband that these sell rather well. Convex mirror on actual non-photoshop censored piece. $3

I did dig this painting out of a pile and considered it, but for whatever reason I decided not to lens check it. My husband saw it later and immediately checked because he often works around naïve and contemporary arts. It's a piece by known Haitian artist Sisson Blanchard, probably from the 70s. $4

Then there's this. Water jug marked Sterling on the bottom, with a model number but no maker's mark. I'm not concerned about the maker, because it is very dented and only fit for scrap now, but IS it sterling?? If it is, I've never sold scrap before and have no clue what the best method is. The metal recyclers here do commercial metals from their page listings, and the other places that come up are coin and bullion dealers. I guess I'd have to make some calls... :shifty: $9 but came in a lot with other SP.
