Brass/Bronze Topper for a Wand or Scepter; Hindu Goddess?

    This is ~65mm high, ~54mm wide; the pocket is ~33mm wide by ~10mm thick. It weighs~72 grams.
    Again, aside from the coincidence of acquisition at the same time an' from the same source (a long-closed shop in Bishop, California in the late 1980's) as my other two postings here, I'm of no help in identifying this apparent ritual accessory. Whatever y'all can see an' say will be gratefully received an' acknowledged. Thanks for lookin'!

    Are these two Tara? The positions of the hands match the one above, but I'm not familiar enough with the Goddesses to be positive about them being the same. Thanks for the link...I'm off to read it now.

    looks like some age......and it had to be beaten off whatever it was stuck to.... several dings on the right corner..

    Neither am I :sorry: Came to that Tara reply after searching for 'hindu deity lotus' and finding a figure with the same pose :)

    Yes, she is Tara, very popular in Himalayan and Mongolian Buddhism. There are many different types of Tara, this lady looks like she is the Green Tara, with her right leg hanging down.
    So Buddhist, not Hindu.;)

    Obviously I didn't mean it was a Hindu goddess. I only used 'hindu' in my search.
