doesnt strike me as something poor

 

It does have some age to it. I would hesitate at 18th, but could be early 19th Century.

never seen a glaze like it in my life, stunning

 

It's very pretty, and in remarkably good shape. It's so perfect it looks new. Goteborg says the glaze was reserved for Imperial use or some such, and that it was only made until the 1720s. So, old and perfect and Imperial only...price went up.

Confused the auction house to from the look of it! $1500-2000 estimate and then it sells for over $400,000. I bet the seller is doing the happy dance!

 

they (the auction house) probably didnt have a clue either

 

sounds incredulous but doesnt surprise me at all with the quality of it

 

The color is delicious,but I just dont get much from it other than that. Maybe Im just not refined enough !
