Featured Wrought Iron Sconce ?

    Trying to pin down date of this piece. Fellow I got it from felt it was originally a gas fixture ca. 1870s. I'm thinking it could be 1920's electric. Wrought except the center cube seems to be made of nickel & the 2" collar from back plate to the cube seems to be cast iron, arm tubes are 1/8 IP threaded ... seem early electric 1900-20ish. Thoughts ?

    Drew-Coincidentally I just got an old sconce too.Your is more interesting (handwrought) & prob older.Mine's prob 20's thru 50's an architectural piece,14" tall.

    Those box connectors are often seen on gas fixtures. Few other clues to go on and I really haven't seen any other fixtures quite like this.

    Does seem plausible - burners at lower arms and chimneys though the upper arm guides. An interesting wrought Gothic revival piece added to my collection.
