Featured Thoughts on 2 paintings - 1 mcm(?) palette style, 1 older

I found these last week at a local thrift store. One appears to be mid century, palette style with an indistinguishable signature, and the 2nd one appears older & is signed Geron.

I'm curious of your thoughts on both + any idea of artist's name on the palette style (is it a mid century modern?)?

And any thoughts on age (it looks like it's on board or masonite, maybe?) or where 2nd one is from? The name comes up in google search but it's more of a cartoon artist. Is this one only by a week-end artist?

1st one is Ivar Bruun. Ive got one quite similar .

@journeymagazine You may have found this already, but Ivar Bruun was born May 12, 1929 in Oslo, Norway and died March 19, 2003 in Oceanside, California. I saw a snippet from newspapers dot com that shows that information. And somebody clipped the obituary and made it readable even if you don't have an account with them.

Also, many sites list his last name as Brunn, but it was actually Bruun, as @johnnycb09 wrote.
