Picked this up today. Not sure why. I think I'm losing it. It's about 30cm tall and the signature seems to translate to audio and visual with Google..most odd... I think I have the signature upside down on the photo

Nice vase, but I think the mark is upside down.

Thanks. I feel a bit better now.
Not considered them to be anything. I just thought they were blobby liney things. You might be right though. I will try Google translate in all the text when I get home to see if there are hidden clues.

Modern, but interesting. I actually like the stylized characters on the base.

To me, it looks like a factory produced blank that was hand painted, but, hey.

The pot looks and feels to be hand turned. The decor looks to be applied by hand/brush. The red decor has texture. Just seems like someone going wild with their imagination to me. So if the difference between it being studio or not is whether it is thrown in a factory or by the person who decorated it, it's impossible to say either way isn't it?

    I received this PM before

    Your vase
It's modern Chinese and the bottom mark reads 景德镇 Jingdezhen, the traditional porcelain capital of China

Im open to it being Chinese but I can't see the jingdezhen myself but maybe it's true.
