Ohio became "legal" December 7th, 2023.

 

There are 650 cannabis dispensaries in my state. Several within walking distance.
But I don't partake.

 

This is sounding very Oregon to me-enjoy !

There should be plenty of edibles available...no need to puff.

 

Tons of dispensaries here in Oregon, too many really, and an abundance of high quality pot since it grows easily here. The prices are cheap.

I met a Californian bicycling the Oregon coast who said he was gonna abandon his thru-ride and just stay in Oregon since the pot was so good and so cheap.

 

Illinois has had recreational use for some time now as well. Dispensaries are everywhere. The parking lots are always full. Additionally, smoke and vape shops are popping up on every street corner. Apparently, they can sell some psycho-active edibles and CBD products. They also have all the accoutrements for smoking. Based on what I can tell, these shops are clean, bright, and well-managed. They also seem to do a lot of business. Gas stations have gotten into the act as well. Seems to be a lot less regulation from when it first started out here.

I quit partaking over 35 years ago. All I can say is that I am probably lucky that all this was not available to me then. Mostly made me sleepy and unmotivated. I never would have gotten anything productive done.

 

I was telling one of the kids at work about seeing Jimi Hendrix 50 years ago-he was stunned.The next day he took me out to the parking lot & gave me a huge baggie of weed.I hadn't puffed in 35 years,so it just sat in the closet for a while.

As Komokwa's post alludes: all of Canada, smoke, buy and grow your own weed (you can have up to 4 plants legally). But the government as usual made things more complicated than necessary. I'm a non-smoker of anything so makes no diff to me. Except that I can smell it more often than previously, LOL!
