Have you heard of the order of Modoc?

Hi all,
This little leather piece is 5" x 3 1/4".
I could not find anything related to this at all.
Signed Ed Lyke 1979, but couldn't find him either.
Has anyone ever seen this before?

The only Ed Lyke I could find with a quick google around the internet was in Champaign, IL. The right age and artistic.
