Featured Central or South American?? Interesting Textile Thing

It's about 5 feet long and 2 feet wide. The birds remind me of Inca design or something similar. Then again, I'm usually wrong! Anyway, any idea on who/what/when this lovely piece was concocted?

 

It reminds me of Nazca Chimu or Chancay textile frequently found as tomb wrappings.I'm just guessing,someone here will know more than I about this textile's origins/motifs.It looks faded,but I couldn't tell you if its 500 years old or more modern-either way,it's a beautiful piece.

 

Yes, it is Peruvian imo. The motifs are Chimú or other Coastal culture. Chimú is late Moche, North Coast of Peru, but I'm not sure this is authentic.

 

Ditto-I can't judge authenticity either.Quite a bit of it shows up online,but the area still has a number of superb weavers.

 

Another vote for Peruvian, but cautious about age. The fibers look like wool (nice photo), possibly llama. The designs appear to be applied, not woven in, and may have been made with blocks/stamps rather than painted freehand. (All the figures look virtually identical.) The technique was used in precolumbian times, but it would also be an easier way of making a modern reproduction.

 

Books, I would sub very similar for virtually identical.
In the last pic, please compare the RH bow-tie an' the 2 further right features on the feline-like figure; also the radius at the junction of the line from the tip of the ear to the jaw. Perspective may be skewing my perception, but those appear subtly different, to me.
I have no textile skills, so this is simply an observation.

 

Yes, perspective could be an issue. We would need to see all of the images, at the same angle, to make a more accurate assessment. Something @vitry-le-francois could more easily do looking at the actual textile.
