Can someone identify this object?

    The style of your carving looks Burmese. Is it quite heavy? From its appearance, it may be teak, which can be heavy, and might explain why the back was hollowed out (usually to reduce weight).

    I will tag another member who may be able to say more about the what the figure represents -

    Thank you, @2manybooks. I'm afraid I don't know the weight. It is for sale (for ca. 70 USD). I don't know if that would be a bargain or if I should pass.

    I agree.
    I don't know what the figure represents, but there seems to be a divine connection, given the lotus throne and flowing robe.
    It looks fairly new.
    I can't advise you what to do, I can only say that I myself wouldn't pay US$70 for her.

    Thank you for the info and advise, @Any Jewelry. I will not buy the figure. It is nice looking, but I will save the money for another treasure that might come along.
