yea interesting twist.so let me get this right,so you think that maybe christine painted my picture but the other paintings in the auction catalogue are done by someone else and credited to her?or have it got it wrong,?

 

I wondered if she was being credited as the artist because, like on your painting, the frame carried her name and address (which could indicate she was the artist or that she was the owner.)

Sent them an enquiry there hope they come back to me but in ireland these things tend to take a while

 

Please let us know if/when they respond. You can also contact the local arts organization(s.) And don't forget that local research librarians are valuable resources.

I think the "Cityscape" is fairly close. Also the price seems to be written in the same blue pen as the address .

Was looking up details of artists with a Cork connection and found an artist called Willian Crozier who moved to west cork in the early eighties.
He didnt sign all of his work either as far as i can gather either
I think his style and coloures he used does resemble my painting somewhat.

Sorry dont know how to post a link but loads of his stuff on line when you google William Crozier.

Looking at the prices of some of his stuff there it might be wishfull thinking tho!
