Featured Abstract? painting of boat

I remember some time in the 60s there were 12 Dutch guilders to the pound. The euro is ca 2 guilders, so ca 6 euros to the pound.
A bit of back and forth in the exchange, but is it about the same as you thought?

Wasn't an unsubstantial amount of money at the time and the pound was about 1.5x higher than the dollar.

I suggest you find a local arts organization. Almost certainly an Irish painter and could be more local.

Ha found an article in Afloat.ie about Dr Raymond Fieldings life in Sailing who was married to Christine with pictures of them buying their first yacht and all.must be the same detective christine.thats funny.

 

Could Christine Fielding have been the artist? There's a picture signed with that name in this auction catalogue from a sale in Kinsale. Only a small poor repro, but the same sort of style.

Maybe .theres a few pictures by christine Fielding listed in that catalogue i see but is there much of a resemblence in style??
