Metal pitcher

    Can anyone help me identify this what i think is 20240115_083537_resize_37.jpg 20240115_083543_resize_23.jpg 20240115_083551_resize_2.jpg 20240115_083608_resize_22.jpg 20240115_083559_resize_57.jpg bronze or brass pitcher.

    Is measures 4 and half inches in height by 5 and half inches wide.is is heavy i think for its size at 1.6kgs.

    From the pictures it looks Copper

    Maybe it is copper .sorry but im no expert

    It may look like copper, but is almost certainly a brass or bronze alloy of copper. It was cast, soldered or brazed into the whole, the cast handle then applied. The bottom may be another applied casting, but that's only hinted at by the seamless shot of the underside.
    Copper is very soft, an' alone isn't a good casting medium for most applications; the addition of tin and/or zinc creates an alloy that is much better suited for casting, for finishing, an' for the durability of the product.

    Right - usually hammered or stamped into form.
