Featured Amber necklace

    Grabbed this earlier. My ultra violet torch came in handy again. Prices on eBay vary massively I know butterscotch amber, which this isn't, is more sought after. Other than that I'm not sure what factors affect value. The fastener should give some indication of age, if any one could advise. It weighs 26g. Thanks

    Pretty, that, probably fairly modern but nicely matched. It’s polished chips, so not the massive value of some. Here, probably thirty to fifty quid. YMMV.

    Ditto. Not collectible, but still a nice necklace.

    That wire was used a lot in Latvia during the Soviet period. The metal is probably 'melchior', an alloy much like nickel silver.
