Just seeing those with the $2.99-$4.99 tags... I can only imagine your instantaneous reaction. How fun to find those.

I'm betting they were hanging on pegboard, out in the open. OY. I haven't found gold worth buying in Savers since the first time I ever went in. That was a rock crystal necklace with a gold clasp. The last time in, I looked at evertything and found overpriced silver in the case and no gold at all. Never went back; it's a hike and they look over everything.

@Ownedbybear is correct that in the original lineup the 2 on the left are the goddess Ceres/Demeter. The other 2 belong to a genre that became popular in the 1930s that I think of as 'corsage lady'. All are cut in helmet shell. I see the possibility there's an acid etched signature on the back of the second largest. These are intriguing, but rarely legible.

Thank you! I’ll have a closer look for signatures, first glance I didn’t see any with a loupe.

We don't have Savers here, and a two little church thrifts here have DOUBLED their prices.

Cast iron Fido bank. Original was by Hubley. Not sure about this one. See many just like it claimed as original. I have my doubts. Bought for $3.00

From a different thrift store, this lot of sterling jewelry was $32.00.

Best find came from a small town antique mall. Peruvian .925 silver box. 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". I don't have my scale here but has to weigh over 200 grams. Tag was marked, Silver? - No mark. I could not find a mark either but bought it anyway for $36.00. Once cleaned, I found the mark on the bottom. It had been well obscured by tarnish. Box bears an inscription to a friend from Lima, Peru 1953.

Mark is at center. Looks like a very faint maker's mark as well.

@kentworld I don't know who made the bowl. Size and shape is a lot like the Hazel Atlas mixing bowls, but has the foot. Color is applied.

Possibly Czech on the bowl? I've seen something similar in orangey-yellow with a black rim. (tango?)

One charity thrift with four stores here hasn't raised prices, but that's because they were stinkin' high to begin with. I only buy stuff in there that they miss.

^5 on the Peruvian sterling box, Brad! I bet that was a 'Kthanksbye" purchase - hustle it out before they figure out what they did!

The Czech bowls are much thinner and hand blown. This is heavy pressed glass.

Actually no. The dealer was just putting it out and I had a fairly long conversation with him about the box. He couldn't find a mark but thought it should be silver. His price on the tag was $45.00 but he was having a booth-wide 20% off sale. He must not have had much into it and did not want to price it as silver without a mark.
