Featured Christmas Time Roadside Find

Twas 3 days before Christmas, driving through the Seattle suburbs....and i happen upon this little gem sitting on the roadside, in the rain. I had to make a U turn to rescue her. Sadly she had a sister that had been beat to a pulp/broken frame and torn. Left her behind .
Here's what I believe to be true...Boling Chair Company, Siling NC....Frame is super cool.....Naugahyde?? Mid Century modern. This chair is heavy as all hell. I still need to give her a good wipedown (yes that's a banana sticker on the side of it!)

Thoughts?

 

You stated it was sitting in the rain - make sure it isn't waterlogged from soaking up the rain and could possibly start molding.

 

the plastic is already curling from age and pulling at the rusted staples......

Great curb find ! It's MCM, and w/the per capita billionaire Tekkies in Seattle,somebody in a Lambo station wagon will grab it quick.

Nice find, Diva. I'm not a fan of faux leather on furniture, but the mid-century frame is nice.
Knowing the company name you should be able to find the type of cushion that went in it. Maybe there are still records, or you can find the same chair through google.

If it has a knitted back it could be naugahyde. Some other faux leathers also have knitted backs, but some have woven or pressed backs or no backing at all.

 

Thinking of putting a fan on it....some dissicant packets....IDK....any suggestions?? I hate it when people put decent free furniture and stuff out in the rain, drives me bonkers!!!

 

I have google lens searched it and cannot come up with an exact match, even w the brand in the search, which is odd to me.....
