I promised to post on Perry Null in Gallup NM after I got my conchas back.Just got my butterflies back now. IMO Perry Null did an outstanding job and got them back to me in TWO weeks. I highly recommend them for repairs and of course for great prices on vintage AND new Indian jewelry, rugs, etc. They’re the nicest people and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely give them a visit if you’re in Gallup or passing through. We stop every year on our way to Santa Fe and usually spend a night there. A meal at Jerry’s Cafe is also a must.

So what do you all think? I bought the belt-it’s a large one-prob 80s-at a garage sale about 20 years ago.It was always missing one butterfly which drove me nuts but the gal had no clue where it was, never called me back and charged me so little for the belt that it was still a no brainer to buy it but the missing butterfly always bugged me. I don’t think anyone could tell if they weren’t examining it element by element. Perry was upfront that the stamping wouldn’t be exact but I think the silversmith did a great job. I’m happy. Perry Null is working on my pieces. The Zuni Cluster Cuff and the squished pendant. I'll show the result.

I would be too, a very nice replacement, very good work.:)
I don't think anyone notices a difference when you're wearing it.

In essence NA jewellery (and accesories) are ethnic jewellery. In ethnic jewellery a slighty different replacement is perfectly acceptable.

It’s great to know that we have someone in NM for NA repairs that’s incredibly fair and gets stuff done quickly and correctly.

Gorgeous belt! The replacement matches in size, shape and color/patina that people will admire the overall look and never notice the minor design differences of that one piece.

That’s got to be a very limited market outside of the US but a good smith should be able to work on anything. What sets Perry Null apart IMO is not so much that they’re the only ones that can do specialized NA repairs but that their operation is large and they’re cost effective since they’re working with so many NA artists coupled with the more important issue that they were willing to do a small specialized special order. I’m pretty sure anyone else I would have asked to replicate that piece would have charged at least twice as much as I paid and taken a lot more time. They really were incredibly gracious and helpful. I love my belts but rarely wear this one as it always bugged me and now that it’s repaired I’ve been wearing it pretty much every day LOL.
