Picked up a dining table and side server. I believe they are from Berkey and Gay. I can’t seem to find any information on the pieces and was looking for marking info/ value. Any information is appreciated. Thanks

Would think the 1933 is your production year. Styling is basically Spanish. Value really depends on selling location and venue. Would think this would do quite well in CA....... Not so much here in the Midwest where I live. Berkey and Gay is quality furniture and sometimes will bring a premium with buyers in the know. This usually means bigger cities where you might find several buyers. Here in my semi-rural Midwest location, the buyers wouldn't know Berkey and Gay from Basset, and might prefer the latter due to name recognition.

I see similars are being marketed as "console" and "sofa" tables. Agree re market. Would do better in one of the Spanish Colonial states.

What little research I’ve done, B&G was shut down in 1933.

The company re-opened in 1935 and then declared bankruptcy (again) in 1948.

I'm afraid this style, and the dark brown color, would not be popular in my suburban Midwest USA area. I'd feel lucky to get $200-250 for the set... if a buyer could even be found.

To my knowledge, B&G seemed pretty good about marking/labeling their stuff. Why do you think it's B&G, especially since you can't find similar? Do you have some research results that point in that area? Do share, it may be helpful info. :)

I did find a marking on the side server. It is B&G. Came with 3 leafs. And the chairs match both the table and server.

That is helpful info, and a photo of the B&G mark would be welcome! Your initial inquiry does not state that it is marked, instead you stated that you "believe they are from Berkey and Gay", hence my confusion. :)

Best photographs of all pieces would be helpful too.

    Excellent!
Hmmm, looks like B&G named the style SPAN-UMBRIAN. That goes along with the Spanish styling already mentioned by others.
    Here is a B&G Span-Umbrian brochure from 1917:

In the link you sent, on page 15 is the table and chairs I have. The brochure has a copyright of 1917. Do you think that’s when the table was made?

Quite possibly. You could try further researching just how long they made this line of furniture, however.

FYI Berkey and Gay goes well back into the 19th Century, at which time they were perhaps the most prolific furniture firm in the U.S. However they did not mark their furniture in Victorian times. Fortunately, their catalog from 1880 survived and has been republished.

In contrast, their 20th Century work was frequently labeled, as above.

Your new photo shows the mark B&G used from 1905-1929. This fits in with the catalog listing from 1917. You could use 1917 as an approximate date, give or take. The 1933 seen in your previous photo, must be a model number.
