    Hi all,

I'm hoping for some info on the scene and writing/characters on the reverse of this 6" diameter plate.

I first thought it was early 1900s, but the straight line, left to right (Western) configuration of the characters makes me suspect 1950s or later.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Looks like a version of the Willow pattern.

Looking at the chinese characters, your plate is made in Jingdezhen 景德镇市, China, 1955. That is what I got.

Your plate is known as Canton Ware or Chinese blue Canton porcelain. I'm not an expert on Chinese porcelain, but I learned about Canton Ware when my sister sold some plates similar to yours. If you do a Google search of Canton Ware you'll see many similar examples.
