Is there a place where people post their eBay listings?

There used to be UseNet groups where people posted their eBay listings, but I don't think those are active anymore. There were also Yahoo groups.

Is there any such group where you tell the world the things you are selling on eBay?

I mean a place other than the "Selling" area on here.

I noticed that listings hardly get any views these days. Also, the promotional thing is fairly convoluted and the phone support didn't even know how to do it when I called then.

When I used to sell on eBay......my sales dropped off a lot during the holidays. They didn't pick up until after the tax returns started coming in !

Second that! Usually sell squat during this time of the year - now I don't even list any items. BUT when people get their Christmas money and the tax refunds it gets back to normal - at times even hectic.

I am listing many of the vernacular photographs that I discussed here on eBay. There has to be a photographer's forum somewhere that allows user's to post for sale items. I think item specific forums is a good place to look, like vintage electronics and so on.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I forget whether yours are snapshots, @AntiqueBytes , or some other format. On Facebook there is a group called Snapshot Mafia that does allow a once-a-week link to a person's eBay listings. This is what the admin wrote as a reminder earlier this year:
"Welcome to Snapshot Mafia!! This group is for BETTER snapshots, photobooths, arcade photos and real photo postcards. If the item is for sale, please mark it “available” and communicate by messenger. Posts with prices will be removed. Photos must be posted directly and not shared from another website. The only exception is a once-a-week post to your eBay listings. You can post up to eight times a day, but please make sure they are BETTER snaps! Also, if you are buying photos from someone, please pay promptly. If I get complaints that you are not paying, you will be removed."

Obviously, a lot of things posted there will not be for sale, but they do allow link to eBay as mentioned above.

I don't belong to that group, but have thought about it. The group has over 4,000 members at present.

The only other group I'm aware of that is only for selling is limited to 19th-century images.

An auctioneer told me about his ingenious trick once. He had an auction full of high end optical equipment. He went onto some optics message boards and asked questions about some items as if he were an interested prospective buyer. Folks naturally curious asked him where he saw or found the items. To which he would reply “oh, they are in so and so upcoming auction and I was thinking of bidding”. That caused the folks that might be interested to go and look at his auction for themselves. A bit underhanded yes but he got results. If he had just gone and posted his auction saying it was his the mods would have removed it. Not saying I’d do it but it’s one way to do it. Lol

My sales usually go way up during the holidays. I sold some high ticket items last week but this week has been slow. Wishing all you sellers a good holiday via lots of sales and otherwise!
