Hello! I bought this old looking jug because of the markings on the bottom. Previous posts here lead me to believe that it is German from the period - 1889 -1919...Is this correct or is it modern production? Is it possible that there is some percentage silver in it? Does acid leave a brown-green stain?? Purity 500 /1000 ? Greetings! (I hope I write in some English)

The 95% has to do with the lead content. There is no silver in this piece. A modern marking because of the danger of lead in something intended for food consumption.

Което означава, че знаците на короната и царския орел са съвременни?

Which means the crown and royal eagle insignia are contemporary?

Here is a quote from the Pewter Marks site attached here,

"Percentage marks like 95% indicate the
amount of tin in the pewter alloy.
Such marks started to be used in the mid
    20th Century."

I suspect your item is a reproduction.

Yes! Thanks! It's a bit strange though, a pewter reproduction, when in fact it's made of pewter too?! What's the point of making such a thing, even if it's original it's worth no money?!
