They want to be German white wine glasses, but not quite. The stems are wrong. I think Brad has the prize for the week.

Just realized that I doubled the price I paid on the three sets of stemware posted. This one thrift I shop prices all their drinking glassware at 25 cents a pop..... so cheap that I doubled what I paid, thinking it had to be more ..... LOL! They occasionally will put a higher lot price on glassware but not often. In contrast, the Goodwill starts their glassware at $1.99 each, without color tag discounts. Some nice stemware has been sitting on their shelves for weeks.

I found some Fostoria stems sitting at mine today, but there were only five. And they were $3 each. Since i'd be lateralling them to another dealer, three each might be more than I'd get back because he has to make a profit too. And there were only five. Another charity thrift with stupidly high prices on things wanted $3/stem for plain glassware. Those weren't even a temptation.

    Some finds from yesterday.

Candlewick condiment jar. I don't usually buy Candlewick but it was only a buck.
    thriftglass18.jpg

Sascha Brastoff dish with a seal. Seems he did an Alaska series. Who knew? Ironically, I just had a discussion about Brastoff with someone who didn't know the work. Don't see much here and it just shows up. Also only a buck.

Set of 7 of these (8th was broken :() small cut crystal stems. Maybe a sherry or port glass? Closest match I found is unknown pattern #1437 at Replacements. Not sure it is an exact match. $1.75 for the set.

Thought the material your delightful lizard is carved in was basically diseased root growth. I've got a folk art cat that has one of those 'blooms' on the side.

IMG_2637.jpeg This is definitely in the top 5 of my favorite pieces. It’s a Wedgwood candlestick from 1780-1790. It depicts the goddess Ceres holding a Cornucopia. I got this pretty cheap because of the condition. I‘ve never seen one in green before and there are none in the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Beautiful craftsmanship❤️
