It’s sturdy and also simple to make without the need for complex tools.

I’m inclined to agree on sixties ish.

There is such a wealth of cumulative knowledge here. Thank you all for sharing. I come here when I'm truly stumped on something because I've seen how one seller online can mislabel something and then it spreads like wildfire across the internet. So, we agree it's a circa 1960s Egyptian bracelet, brass and glass type beads.

Not necessarily Egyptian, but Egyptian in style.

    Re: "Art Deco" description...
Perhaps Ms. Ettinger was mistakenly using the term to denote the time period, rather than the design style... rather like "Victorian" or "Edwardian". It's still not a good practice, however, and in this case it leads to confusion.

I don't know the exact time frame they were made, I am not even certain they were already around in the 20s or 30s.
The ones I have had over the years were all bought by tourists in Egypt, most of them 1950s and 60s.
They still make souvenir jewellery in this style, but not as nice.

I wonder if some of the lesser ones are made in India, rather than Egypt. There’s a massive export trade to all over the Middle East.

Because of Egypt's close proximity to the Middle East that could be possible. But in my experience the market is flooded with Indian items made for the Middle Eastern souvenir trade, but you don't see these bracelets and sets that often. So I think they are genuinely Egyptian made.
