I collect old war medals. I have some good medals. I have to say that British War Medals seem to be worth the most in the UK.
    Why is that?
I have lots of foreign medals, that dealers do not like.
Is it just British people care more about British wars and the bravery of British soldiers?

Generally, prices depend on demand - if there is lots of demand, prices will be higher. And people tend to collect items they are interested in of course, and those will often be local. It is not so much a matter of whether people care, as what they are interested in collecting.
Polish war medals probably sell best in Poland; US medals best in the US, and so on.

I suspect you will find that most war medals command the highest prices in the country of origin.

Absolutely true, with the exception of Third Reich medals of course.
