Featured Little cartoon watercolour sketch

Hi all,very cool little ‘action’ cartoon sketch (well to me) Signed Ted? I took it out of the frame. There’s framing details on the back. Customer details and address? and the sentence: ‘Not to be taken’

I was thinking maybe 70’s? Any ideas on the artist? It’s 30x38cm. Thanks for looking

Is writing on back in ballpoint or fountain pen?

Well, I read "H.G.A. Craye" as recipient. From a quick internet search... Appears there was such a fellow. A radio engineer, active 1960s and 1970s as amateur botanist, archeologist and mountaineer. From Cape Town.

I like it plenty!
The cretin at the top stuffing his face, while the mountaineer is belayed by a sapling. Do note the lack of gear, except for his boots an' the line his life hangs on...whew!

And yes that guy on top of the cliff casually stuffing his face with what looks to be a massive sandwich/hamburger it just great

 

What with ballpoint pen and loosely fitting tee shirts, don't think earlier than the 1970s.
