Hi all, did anyone ever discover what this little green monkey origins were?
We’ve just inherited one from my father and cannot find any information at all! He’s identical to the photos that have been shared though.
I think there could well be a Masonic link as my Dad’s father was a mason back in the late 1800’s / early 1900’s.
thanks in advance for any info!

Thanks for the welcome and reply

please excuse my ignorance, I have very little antique knowledge, what is mosanic art? I agree that those examples look very similar to the monkey. I’d assumed it was a typo as we did find quite a lot of Freemason / Masonic items.

    Thanks again for your reply.

Mosanic was the name of a style of pottery used by the Max Emanuel Co of Germany. Pieces were often marked with that name on the bottom and although yours isn't, the style is more than just reminiscent of those that are.
