Hello everyone, I have unearthed something from my hoard again.
I bought this pendant a year or 2 ago online and I must have paid less than 20€ for it, shipping included (no idea what county I bought it from).
I like it, so but I m really unsure of its age.
It has some marks in the back: 'K Thamar' , something 'B221' or '927'. Also, smaller mark and upside down: '925' in a square.
The chain came with it and I believe thats seventies....I find it interesting its also marked 925, but that could be a coincidence.
But what about the pendant? Its style screams 'old!' But the marks, and especially the small and crisp '925' make me wonder if it was made yesterday.
I noticed somewhere here on the forum was a poison ring from the same maker, that was older, and I think you guys found out it was made in Spain. Thats already nice to know.
So what do you think about this one? thank you very much!

It is lovely, Dessert. Spanish makes sense, it is the kind of historic revival style that has been very popular in Spain for a long time.
    The cab looks glass?

I found Simona's thread with the worthpoint link, and also a few other links. The general consensus seems to be Spain, first half of the 20th century, but they could all be copying each other of course. I hope someone can find more info on the manufacturer.
In the meantime, here are a few other K Thamar pieces, they seem to pop up all over Europe:;)

I don't know if you can read Spanish? The last one is Rumanian, which you can probably work out from another Romance language. And then there is Dutch.:playful:

Interesting discussion about K Thamar silver on a German forum:

    https://www.dieschatzkisteimnetz.de/viewtopic.php?t=28278

Most posters think Spain, but there is also mention of Peru or Argentina (neither of which is known for 916 silver).
But this is interesting with respect to dating:

"In den Markenverzeichnissen von Spanien, erscheint diese Marke ohne Punkt hinter dem K als im Jahr 1989 in Barcelona beantragt und abgelaufen 2021 - also wohl IM Jugendstil, als moderne Neuauflagen hergestellt"

In Spanish marks indexes the registration date for K Thamar is 1989-2021. So stylewise Art Nouveau, but recently made.

"Bin mir fast sicher, dass die Sachen aus 925 sind und sie die 916 nur gestempelt haben um die Jugenstiloptik plausibeler zu verkaufen."

The poster is pretty sure the K Thamar pieces are 925, but for commercial purposes the manufacturer stamped them 916 to create the impression that they are Art Nouveau.:shifty:;)

Edited to add the bit about the registration date.

    AJ thanks for the search!
My Spanish is ok, Dutch is way better though
It would actually make sense they would mark 916 to make the impression of being older.
I m still having doubts but the 'made yesterday' thought is getting ahead now.
Indeed I also think its glass, I should have taken a better look at it.
Ah well, for less than 20€ it was worth the gamble anyway.

I'm sure you can sell it for more. There is a lot of interest in Art Nouveau Revival and Historic Revival-Revival pieces.
