    I swear I tried to find this myself because I figured the handle was unique enough that even I could find the pattern name. :rolleyes::rolleyes::p:p:facepalm::facepalm: :(

    I am assuming this is the cover for a round butter or cheese dish although
    I certainly can't rule out something that would have been used in a religious ceremony. I did find a couple of pieces that had similar handles when I looked through the multiple pages of "butter, cheese & honey dishes" on the EAPGS site but not this particular piece. I unfortunately do not have the bottom portion but figured if I could find the pattern name there might be someone out there who would like to have an almost perfect cover. :p:p

    It is 5" to the top of the cross, 5 3/8" across the O.D. & 5" across the I.D.

    As I said I haven't ruled it out as a possibility but at 5" across that would be a massive chalice. :confused::confused:

    Hopefully, our EAPG Guru @TallCakes has some kind of insight. :happy::happy:

    Thanks for trying @TallCakes !! :happy::kiss::kiss:

    I was about cross-eyed when I got done looking through all of those pages on the EAPGS site & got excited when I saw the cross handles but was crushed when the pattern on the dome did not match mine. :p:hilarious:

    This piece came off a table lot I only have $19.25 invested & will be able to easily triple that with a few of the other pieces that were included. So it is no big deal if it hangs around for a little while till I can possibly find something. :happy:

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Maybe use it to cover some tasty morsel at a party that you wouldn't want lil buggers landing on....on a hot evening........! It's pretty enough!!
