Hit enter too soon. Last one is a bone box from India, but quite nice for the genre.

Some of my goodies from the last week. Israeli Shabbos candlesticks, an unmarked doxie, and a nice paperweight. John Gentile imprint. https://petrifiedwood.rocks/paperweights-john-gentile/ Deruta signed coffee mug. Paid a buck each for the mug and paperweight. 50 cents for the pooch!

Ive tried Thai and every variation I can think of. Its got a gritty finish,so I leaned Italian for a bit but nada.

It might be Japanese with cribbed designs, suitably altered. Or weirdly altered. Carmen Miranda-esque ladies on one side and kinda-sorta Thai dancers on another!

He's close to life-size. Speaking of life size, you'll notice where they put the vent hole.

Very happy with today's vide grenier hunt. Found some personal items (dress and much needed (and very nice) shoes) but one of the pieces shown here really take the cake.

First though, I got these three booklets for a euro a piece, the Memorial I'll give its own thread, but these sovenier booklets are just lovely :joyful:

I can't take credit for this find, my sister remembered a similar brooch I'd picked up a week or two back and showed these to me. I looked at the mark and couldn't set them aside fast enough. 'Vintage' Yves Saint Laurent big ole chunky clip earrings for 2.50. A lot of similar listings say they're gold plated, which makes me hopeful for an even better score.
Not my thing usually, but they're stunning, and look great on! They're not so commanding on the ear as they seem in hand.

Those might be an OOPS! Horrible problem, that. If you sell them, make sure shipping is open to Asia; that's where the market is for a lot of 80s Designer jewelry these days.

If memory serves... The YSL earrings wouldn't be gold plated.

More likely goldtone, but I've learned enough about crazy 80s jewelry to never rule anything out.

(LOL) So I've found out. Still don't know what the benefit is supposed to be, but it was cheap enough.

Sorry to hear that you were ill Davey.
They say that if you keep trying foods that you can not taste or smell, it helps the brain remember the memories, but it takes time.
