I knew you would like it. I paid next to nothing for them but had to do a lot of repair. They were falling apart, and the doors didn't work.

No basement and the attic is unfinished - no floor. I do have a three car garage but also a very big truck (F250) in it. I had to add onto my garage to fit it in. :)

I love barrister bookcases & have 3 of them in my office. The one that holds my reference books is the oldest & has 4 sections. The other 2 are more to the "vintage" time frame but they hold assorted collections along with my office supplies.:happy:

I find that the liberal use of acrylic risers, easels & other display methods helps to give you more room for more treasures. You also sometimes get a more interesting display. ;) :D

I indulged my flatware obsession today, I justify it as cheap and easily stored, lol. I only paid a dollar for the lot!
The first is a pretty sugar spoon with the Hildesheimer Rose and is marked inside the bowl with 835CB for Christoph Bach.
Also, I collect vintage flatware with advertising… restaurants, hotels, etc., and acquired three pieces for my collection today. The first is a small demitasse spoon marked Cunard White Star, the second is a place-setting teaspoon from the Waldorf Astoria, and the third is some sort of seafood fork from Lundy Bros. FWIL, a Brooklyn restaurant open from the 1920s-70s.
None of it is worth much, but I just find these little bits and bobs so interesting and love the rabbit holes I go down when researching them!

The pottery and china is so much more expensive than the flatware (which is generally only stainless steel or silverplate)!

If a road had some, but in very limited supply and with a rabid local collector market...zoom! The railroad that ran through my town, the CNE, were cheapskates who never made any real money and never marked a darned thing. But get the right shortline down in Texas somewhere and..lookout! And look out for it.

I have had a good run recently!

Here's some vintage ethnic pottery I've found for great prices:

a 6" Santa Clara Pueblo piece, maybe 1960-70's:

A great 9" 'Barro Negro' jar in the iconic shape from Oaxaca, Mexico:

An 8" vintage Santo Domingo Pueblo (now called Kewa-- a version of its pre-Spanish name) bowl. This one has a rim chip but also has what sure looks to me to be honest age and wear:

...And my favorite of them all, a big 11" Shipibo pot that also looks solidly vintage to me. It's the thinnest piece of Shipibo pottery I've ever encountered, which makes it more remarkable that it's (almost) perfectly intact:

Those bowls have been there, done that for certain. Congrats on finding them.

I went to an antique store on Friday, a Meh of tag sales on Saturday, and a good charity tag sale today. A Jewish group home on a street that only has free parking on Sundays. That yielded sterling jewelry, a pottery dachshund (on its way to a new home soon) and an Ittala vase. Jade roller thingie; I think it's some sort of beauty tool. The find was probably in the antique/jewelry store on Friday.

Sterling silver 1901 American Exposition in Buffalo NY. Notable for using hydro power to run hundreds of electric lights. Also for being the site of the McKinley assassination. The lot of three medallions was $10. The only other one of these fobs I was was offered for over $300, but somebody had it graded. Still, for $3.33 I'm not complaining! Neither the seller nor I knew it was worth anything.
