Featured Help Me Identify My Roll Top Desk!

I have a family heirloom I am trying to find out as much as I can about. I can’t find any distinguishing markings detailing the maker, other than a signature in pencil on the bottom of a drawer. Any help is much appreciated

 

the word "fecit" that follows a name I cannot make out, is Latin for "made."

I just now found “Dixon’s Patent” on the wooden buttons inside drawer behind handles.

Searching has found many in this style with one example being marked with a punch into a top edge of a drawer. They say it's by Priest, Blackfriars, London.

The name may have been Latinized. Looks to me like it may end "iscum".

 

And it's not really a roll top. The correct term is Cylinder desk I think

As far as I know, it could be anything. All I know is the family history. Not knowledgeable about furniture at all

Roll top is slats.

 

None of the English dealers selling a this style desk have provided a maker. Sometimes the names on the locks were noted as the maker. I've seen two other branded locks used.

Wish I could find out how it ended up in rural South Eastern United States. I know it was atleast in my families possession in late 1800s. I suppose it could have been even before that. Thank you all so much for your help
