You may be able to find a match to your red and gold mark by carefully scrolling through this Kutani section at Gotheborg - https://www.gotheborg.com/marks/kutani.shtml

That last image (Large 1?) is not the generic Kutani one, but is it on the back of a plate with difference decoration?

Yes, the face of the plate didn't post but is in the gallery. I don't know how to edit the post to remove the duplicate pics. . Thanks.

Each of the red and gold plates marks appear to be different leading me to believe they are the artist's mark. Wrong?

Now I'm confused. You posted 3 identical pictures at the beginning of this thread and then a 4th with a different rim color combination. Are you saying that there are other images?

I'm sorry. I intended to post the front and back of the two small plates and the front and back of one of the larger plates. Unfortunately it turned out as it is and I can't seem to be able to edit it. Then, I try to upload a pic of the larger plate and it tells me the file is too large.

Okay, I think it should show properly now. Thank you so much for your input!

Let me ask - are there multiple versions of the red and gold mark? And if so, do they all have the same first character?

Remember that these marks were all handpainted so there can be minor differences. (handwriting being what it is. ;))

Yes, the first marks appears to be similar to the math sign for Pi. The second marks are similar and look like a capital A with small wings. ;)

The first mark is the generic Kutani mark, You should look through the link to Gotheborg that I posted above.

Thanks for the tag @Any Jewelry .
I don't think I can add much. As Bakers has already said the first one is generic Kutani.
The other mark I am not familiar with.
