I surely wouldn't. I have gotten a number of very nice pieces of Mexican and Taxco silver that they don't consider important. I love wearing it.

 

I wear what I like...I had a Lady Elgin watch encrusted with CZs. Fooled my estate jeweler, everybody thought it was diamonds. It disappeared one day....

 

That is a sad tale indeed. Someone thought they were snatching the real thing. I love the bold nature of some of the designs and the inclusion of stones, glass and other materials in such an interesting way.

 

I just got one of those, but I paid more than $4, you got a bargain!!!!!

found some goodies today, my favourite is the Mother of Pearl gaming pieces that were inside a small box I had no idea what they were until I got home and poked around on-line. Small (3 1/2") enamel vase I think from France, still have to research it, a metal perfume atomizer, trying to get photos of the marks and then will ask about it and 2 boxes of Christofle solid silver shakers

It was headed for the dumpster at a house clean out thrift shop. I didn’t ask why, just threw it the car.

 

I don't blame you one bit & I would have run to the car also!!

 

Into the car and lock the door. I'd also have checked inside in case they had the rest of the set. Never can tell with anyone who'd throw something that good into a dumpster!

I grabbed two paintings from the side of the road yesterday.

Those gaming pieces show up a great deal here, I love them. Made in China and imported.

 

1inch diameter. Best thing I’ve found for ages, no hallmarks but diamonds surrounding, think she may be painted on ivory. Chazza £4.
