V n B tile and Chinese chube thang

    Grabbed these two today for a quid each. I missed the significance of the VB initially and focussed on the French wording then half way up the street I realised and scurried back to buy it.

    The chube thang is a mystery. Not sure if it is very modern forced crackle, vintage repro or a bit older. It is transfer ware I would say.

    La Ferte Gaucher is a commune in France -- looks like a tourist area so the tile could be a souvenir.

    The V n B is for Villeroy and Boch. Not sure how the commune comes into it or why they would be decorating tiles for V n B. But it seems that they did.

    Ha ha! I knew it was Villeroy and Boch but not that the commune would be decorating tiles for them -- unless they were blanks bought from V&B?
