Signature definitely looks a match. I was just wondering about the monogram/‘stamp’ with date? I didn’t see that on any of her other works. Also is this a ‘normal’ print ? The colour looks a bit odd? (almost like the image was burned on,or is it charcoal) Thanks for any comments

At first glance it looked like pyrography to me.
Lovely limited print, Boland...I wonder where (in Europe?) it might be representing?

Sweet. Looks like an English village to me.

Yes, matches Dorothy Bordass' signature. According to the internet, she was working in St. Ives in the early 1960s so location may be near there.

Thanks for the reply and info. Read about pyrography now. Didn’t know the term.

Thanks for the good information Debora. Does look like the St la’s church. Wonder why she decided to put the little monogram on this.

Not to be too crass, but the next time I need a fake name, I'm gonna go with 'Dorothy Bordass.'

Spice it up a bit at least. Dorothy Thrillass or Dorothy Sweetass maybe.

Huh, was I the only one thinking her name should be Dorothy Badass? I'd bet she was.

It is an etching, and the tone is not unusual. The artist can vary how much of the ink is wiped from the plate before printing.

Haha, I thought the same thing when I first looked at it! My mind is always in the gutter anyway.
